April news….

For the first time in a long time, all of our March training and dive club outings happened as scheduled.

Looking back on the month of March, the dive club event hosting Dr. Elodie Camprasse was an absolute winner, well attended with 41 divers, Elodie’s presentation on the Spider Crab migration was informative and entertaining with forthcoming participation invitations to those who attended the evening (keep an eye out on your email).

OUR NEXT DIVE CLUB NIGHT

Whilst on the topic of tropical dive travel, we’ve once again landed an amazing speaker with a talk totally pertaining to international holidays spent in warmer climates.  We’re very fortunate to again present Dr. John Lippmann OAM, Executive Director of the Australasian Diving Safety Foundation (ADSF) with a presentation looking specifically at the issues associated with tropical holidays and increases in the predisposing factors and events of Decompression Illness (DCI).  A MUST ATTEND presentation for dive club members with a tropical holiday booking or on the horizon.

Congratulations to our instructor and Shop Manager Ben on completing his upgrade on his Extended Range Instructor status allowing him to now teach XR on a single system with stage tank as well as on twins with a stage tank, additionally to that, Ben can now also teach the new SSI Tech Fundamentals course (Similar to GUE Fundamentals).  Over the next couple of weeks, we will be working to schedule Extended Range training programs for divers who are looking to take their diving to that next level.
