Spring News

With Spring now upon us, I hope that we can soon look forward to water temperatures taking an upwards turn!  Although we didn’t hit the predicted single figure temperatures at the Southern end of the bay this year, we did experience them at the top end of the bay but not anywhere near as bad as what was originally indicated.

The wash-up of our Tonga information night has seen an unprecedented rush from club members to book on the trip with all available rooms now booked, so much so that we have been speaking with our travel partners and will soon release another international dive trip to Port Villa – Vanuatu staying at the Hideaway Island resort.

Whilst on the travel scene, much is to be agreed with the old saying “You snooze, You lose” with a trip to Tasmania fully booked within days of its release. The trip is set to run over the Labour day long week end – March 2017, led by our very own Mick Meer (a Tassie native).

The popularity of short trips is absolutely amazing, so much so that we’ve begun work on setting up a whole heap more for next year! (keep an eye open on your email in-box)

November 16 is a Wednesday…. SO WHAT!!! It is also the official opening of the Cray season in Victoria, and we are once again working with our friends at RedBoats to run an exclusive double dive trip for SCUBA CULTURE members, if conditions are good outside the heads, we will stay out for a double cray dive.  if not, we will still get a slack water dive in a protected area followed up by a scallop dive!  No matter what happens, we win!  If keen, please make sure that you organise a day off for 16 November right now and that you drop us a line to book your place on the boat. (Running in November, you will need to have renewed your membership to take part)

September 30 club night is another to tantalise your interest in everything underwater, especially creating photographic memories with a multi award winning underwater photographer as our guest speaker.
