Xavier’s news – september

Welcome to our first SPRING newsletter of the year 2013! And with temperatures already on the up, the early outlook to divers hitting the water is looking up.

By the time I begin work on the next newsletter, I will have been to and returned from the Galapagos and fulfilled a lifelong dream.  Since my young days, I have been addicted to the Cousteau and Attenborough documentaries on the Galapagos, to walk in the footsteps of Darwin and Wolf will tick a big item off the bucket list.

The month of August also had us host Sea Shepherd as our guest speakers with a massive turnout of divers hearing about Sea Shepherd’s latest exploits and initiatives, providing a voice and a defence to inhabitants of our planet who have just as much right to be here as we have and the right to co-exist with the rest of creatures great and small.

As we look a little further away, we have now scheduled the gathering of the troops for the Ewen’s Ponds 2013 FRESHWATER DIVE EXTRAVAGANZA set to take place over the Melbourne cup long week end.

Many of the dive trips on our 2014 calendar are now nearing capacity, we still have a couple of vacancies on the Great White Sharks trip (1 – 4 Feb 2014), 2 bungalows left on our Uepi Island Resort dive trip (Solomon Islands) 9 – 14 June 2014, only 1 berth on our back to back Phillipines & Palau trip 1 – 16 August 2014, and 3 berths left on our TRUK lagoon trip, 10 – 21 November 2014,  additionally, and due to the popularity of our dive trips, we have also now added yet another outing, this time with our friends on Spirit of Freedom (Cairns) 7 -11 September diving the Cod Hole and Ribbon Reefs.

In the coming weeks we will be releasing the 2015 Scuba Culture dive travel calendar with some pretty special offers taking divers to some of the most exciting dive destinations of the South Pacific…. And for those who really like to plan ahead, we have already released a 2016 dive trip!  Yes, back to Santo to dive the Coolidge!
